9. Mysterio
Fans have been demanding that Mysterio be featured in a Spider-Man movie since Sam Raimi was in charge of the franchise (a popular theory was that Bruce Campbell’s reoccurring appearance would somehow lead to him being revealed as Quentin Beck…), and the Sinister Six seems like a great place to finally have him make his live-action debut. Purely from a visual standpoint, Mysterio’s ability to create any number of illusions would allow writer and director Drew Goddard to really go wild in terms of effect and do some very unique things which we haven’t really seen in any other comic book movie. Of course, the biggest question is whether or not they would keep his iconic costume in place or completely redesign him as that mask in The Amazing Spider-Man 2‘s end titles sequence suggested. We’ll sure miss that fish bowl head!
