
With The Amazing Spider-Man 3 pushed back to an undecided date in 2018, Sony Pictures are now focusing their efforts on Drew Goddard’s the Sinister Six and a spin-off which will put the spotlight on a female character from Spidey’s world.
Here, we take a look at just 10 of our favourite Spider-Man villains who we would like to see as part of the six member group in the 2016 release. Not all of them have actually been part of the Sinister Six over the years, but we’ll hopefully convince you as to why they would make a worthy addition to the villainous group which will likely be led by Dane DeHaan’s Harry Osborn, a.k.a. the Green Goblin.
We’ve left out a couple of the more obvious suggestions like Electro and the Rhino, while there are of course countless other members of Spidey’s rogues gallery who simply didn’t make the cut due to a lack of room! 10. Scorpion
Scorpion is an underrated villain who would be more than capable of being the sole villain in a future Spider-Man movie. The fact that J. Jonah Jameson hires Mac Gargan to try and discover Spidey’s secret identity and later turns him into the Scorpion could be a great direction to take The Amazing Spider-Man 3 in if we’re ever going to meet this new take on The Daily Bugle’s E-i-C. However, if that’s not what Sony has in mind, why not introduce Scorpion as a member of the Sinister Six? While he may not be a classic member of the team, recent versions of the group led by Doctor Octopus have seen him play a pivotal role. Whether it’s genetically or through technology, the Scorpion seems like he could fit right in if his origin was tied into Oscorp somehow. His inclusion would also provide the villainous group with some serious muscle…
