Venom: Let There Be Carnage delayed an additional week

Sony Pictures is delaying Venom: Let There Be Carnage by yet another week to Sept. 24, 2021.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage has gone through several release dates due to the coronavirus pandemic. Originally the film was scheduled for Oct. 2, 2020, but then moved to June 25, 2021. The last date, announced just two weeks ago, was Sept. 17, 2021.

The reason for the latest move is to provide a bit more breathing room from The Suicide Squad which releases on Aug. 6, but it does move it closer to Denis Villeneuve’s Dune on Oct. 1.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage will see Tom Hardy reprising his role as Eddie Brock alongside Michele Williams as Anne Weying. This time around they will be facing off with Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady who will be working with the symbiote Carnage. Naomie Harris will also appear in the film, reportedly as Carnage’s love interest, Shriek.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage will hit theaters on Sept. 24, 2021.
