Venom: Let There Be Carnage release date pushed back

Venom 2 finally has a title, and it also has a new release date.

As the coronavirus pandemic has caused delays in movie production and film releases, the status of the Venom sequel has been a bit quiet. Finally, on Tuesday, Sony offered some updates. First and foremost we finally have a title for the film and it is Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

The other big update is that the film is now moving from Oct. 2, 2020 to a new release date of June 25, 2021. This date was previously occupied by The Batman, but that film changed dates on Monday.

Nothing was said about the status of the third Spider-Man film, but as it is currently scheduled for July 2021, it now seems highly likely it will move back to avoid confusion.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage will hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
