Sony Pictures shifts Kraven back 10 months, removes Beyond the Spider-Verse

Sony Pictures has announced changes to the release dates for two of its Spider-Man related projects.

As the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes continue, studios are beginning to reexamine their release schedules, and Sony Pictures was the first to make some moves. The most immediate change is Kraven has moved from Oct. of this year to Aug. 30, 2024. This now means that the next Spider-Man-related film to hit theaters will be Madame Web on Feb. 14, 2024.

The most disappointing news is that Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has been removed from the schedule entirely. This does not mean the film is canceled, it just means we’re going to have longer to wait to see the conclusion to the cliff-hanger we were left with.

Depending on how long the strikes last – and some analysts are saying that they won’t end any time soon – we could see some more delays beyond these. Only time will tell for sure.
