A new report suggests that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man may indeed appear in Venom 2. Could we finally see Spider-Man and Venom sharing the big screen together?
According to a report from Geeks WorldWide – which has a good track record with casting information – Holland is in early talks to at least make a cameo in Venom 2. This is a topic that has been coming up since the original Venom without anything actually panning out as of yet.
What isn’t clear as of yet is if Holland would be playing the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Spider-Man. There is always a chance the studio could use this opportunity to introduce the multi-verse into the live-action films. With talk of Madame Web coming to the films, that is a strong possibility.
If he is playing the MCU version of Spider-Man, then does that mean Venom and Venom 2 are now MCU canon?
For now, it’s a lot of speculation, and Holland had not yet signed on. There is still a good chance that he won’t appear in the film. We will definitely be keeping our eye’s peeled for info, though.
