Kraven cast adds Christopher Abbott as The Foreigner

The upcoming Kraven movie has found itself another villain as Christopher Abbott has reportedly joined the cast as The Foreigner.

According to Deadline, Christopher Abbott (Catch-22, On the Count Of Three) will be playing The Foreigner, a highly trained assassin, and the ex-husband of Silver Sable in the comics.

Sony Pictures had no comment at this time.

The cast for Kraven is rapidly expanding with Aaron Taylor-Johnson is playing Kraven, while Oscar-winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator, The Loudest Voice) has reportedly joined the cast as his father. And Fred Hechinger has signed on as The Chameleon, Ariana DeBose is onboard as Calypso, and Alessandro Nivola has joined as an unknown villain.

J.C. Chandor (A Most Violent Year, Margin Call) is directing Kraven from a script by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway, and Richard Wenk.

Kraven is currently scheduled to hit theaters on Jan. 13, 2023. With this release date in mind, filming should be kicking off at virtually any moment now.
