Raimi Trilogy and 'Amazing Spider-Man' films to be re-released on Blu-ray

It appears that Sony Pictures wants to take full advantage of the massive amount of hype building up for Spider-Man: Homecoming.

New listings for the previous films, Sam Raimi’s iconic trilogy and Marc Webb’s Amazing Spider-Man reboot films, have popped up on sites such as Wal-Mart and Best Buy.

The Raimi trilogy collection has been dubbed the “Spider-Man Origins” while the Webb collection has been named as the “Spider-Man: Evolution” collection. A 4K Ultra HD steelbook supposedly containing all the films has also popped up on Best Buy.

Speculation has run rampant as to if these collections are going to feature extended cuts of Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. “3.1” is mentioned on the Origins collection, and there is an extra disc in the Evolution collection, but these could easily just be extra bonus disks included. As of right now, we do not have an official announcement or any confirmation in regards to what these collections are going to feature.
