Madame Web has picked up another cast member as Emma Roberts has reportedly joined the cast.
According to a report from Deadline, Roberts is the latest addition to a rapidly growing cast of Madame Web.
The upcoming film is set to star Dakota Johnson, Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced, and Celeste O’Connor. S.J. Clarkson is directing from a script by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless.
In the comics, Madame Web has powers such as telepathy and clairvoyance, but in Spider-Man: The Animated Series she had a much bigger purpose. She was tasked with testing Spider-Men from multiple dimensions to find the one to take on a villain called Spider-Carnage. While the threat could be changed to anything, the idea of a multidimensional trial of various Spider-Men could be very interesting to audiences.
As it stands right now nothing is known about the plot of the film, but it does seem to be adding quite a bit of cast.
Madame Web will hit theaters on July 7, 2023.
