For the second time in a matter of weeks, the Morbius release date has been pushed back by Sony Pictures.
On Thursday evening, MGM announced that the 25th James Bond movie, No Time to Die, was pushing back its release date. The newly announced release date was Oct. 8.
If that date sounds familiar, it’s because that is where Morbius landed just 10 days earlier. While we have high-hopes for Morbius, it is never wise to take on the world’s most famous spy in a head-to-head fight at the theater.
With that in mind, Sony Pictures has now delayed Morbius from Oct. 8 to Jan. 21, 2022.
As it currently stands the Sony Spider-Man films will now roll out as:
- Venom: Let There Be Carnage – June 25, 2021
- Spider-Man 3 – Dec. 12, 2021
- Morbius – Jan. 21, 2022
To be clear, this is the schedule as of this moment. We will not be the least bit surprised to see some if not all of these, shift once again.
