Morbius moves to an October release

The coronavirus pandemic is still in full-effect, and that’s causing Sony Pictures to shuffle its schedule once again, and the Morbius release date has shifted again..

The movie industry is still in upheaval due to the pandemic, and movie studios are still shifting release dates around to accommodate the situation. Last March Sony Pictures was one of the earliest to make major moves and that included moving Morbius from July 2020 to March 2021. Now as the date approaches, it’s time for another move.

Sony Pictures announced on Monday that Morbius will be moving from March 19 to Oct. 8. It was one of the earliest movies currently on the schedule for when theaters will be trying to get some momentum going once again. With the vaccine taking longer to distribute than first expected, this delay is not the least bit surprising.

We’ll have to wait and see if any more move come from Sony, but as it stands right now we are scheduled to get Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Morbius, and Spider-Man 3 this year. It’s going to be a good year for fans of the Spider-Man franchises.
