It’s official, Venom 2 has begun filming.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, Tom Hardy posted a picture from the make-up room with the caption, “W3’R’V3NOM2 day one.”
Despite having been deleted, fans, of course, managed to get a screencap of the image.
While it certainly gives nothing away, at least we know things have begun moving on the film.
Andy Serkis is directing (before he plays Alfred in The Batman), and Kelly Marcel wrote the script. Tom Hardy returns as Eddie Brock, Michelle Williams as Anne Weying, and Woody Harrelson as Carnage. They will be joined by Naomie Harris as Shriek.
Venom 2 has not yet received a release date, but Sony has laid claim to Oct. 2, 2020 for an untitled Marvel project. It is believed that will be where this film lands.
