It’s official, the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel is moving forward and will hit theaters on April 8, 2022.
The wait has been horrible, but at last we know a sequel is indeed moving forward for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Absolutely nothing is known as of yet about the plot or what members of the Spider-Verse may appear. Miles Morales seems like a safe bet as hew as the lead. Spider-Gwen was a fan hit and more than likely will be included.
And who can say no to Spider-Ham?
It’s clear that Sony is deeply invested in the concept of a multiverse when it comes to Spider-Man following the success of the original film. Add in the rumors of a Madame Web live-action film, and it seems a given we will never be working with just one Spider-Man in any medium.
The film was a box office success taking in $190.17 million domestically and $375.24 million globally. It also picked up an Oscar while it was at it.
Will a Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel capture imaginations like the first one did? We’re willing to bet that it will.
