It seems that things may be moving a bit faster than many expected on Venom 2.
According to a new listing from the trade publication Production Weekly, Venom 2 is currently slated to begin filming on Nov. 25. This report also revealed that the working title is “Fillmore,” but that doesn’t necessarily give us any hints about the film.
When exactly the film would go into production had been a bit of a mystery. It was known that things were moving ahead as Andy Serkis had signed on to direct, and that Robert Richardson had joined him as the cinematographer. Bigger names such as though don’t typically sign on to a film unless it’s getting somewhat close to rolling. Sitting around and waiting for a movie to come together is just not a luxury that they have.
Venom 2 is currently rumored for an Oct. 2, 2020 release date which seems like a bit of a tight turnaround, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
