Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Enjoys Strong Opening Weekend

The weekend box office results are in, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a hit. According to Box Office Mojo, Sony’s new animated feature nabbed $35.4 million in the U.S., making it the largest three-day animated opening of all-time in the month of December.

In total, the film has grabbed just over $56 million at the global box office, with expectations for the film to continue performing well over the holiday period.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has earned high praise from critics, with the film currently sitting at 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. Meanwhile, the audience score sites at 95%, proving that the movie is universally beloved.

The overall consensus is that Into the Spider-Verse features an incredible story, great humor, and some of the best animation ever seen on the big screen. We saw the film and concluded that it is the Spider-Man movie we’ve been waiting for.
