Venom: Let There Be Carnage sets box office records

Venom in Columbia Pictures' VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is not out in theaters, and it’s off to a great start.

The second solo film for Venom took in $90.1M in the U.S., and that puts it on some charts. It ranks as the second-best ever opening weekend for Oct., and that’s doubly impressive as the movie industry is still dealing with the pandemic. And with the pandemic in mind, it was the best opening weekend for the pandemic beating out Black Widow.

And possibly one of the most important results is it actually came in higher than the original Venom.

It looks as though Venom: Let There Be Carnage is going to be a big hit, and we imagine a third film will be announced in short order. This also bodes very well for the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home and how it will do at the box office.
