Spider-Man: Far From Home creative team would love to take on Kraven

Could we finally see Kraven the Hunter make his way into a live-action adaptation? It seems that the creative people behind the camera of Spider-Man: Far From Home would love to see that happen.

As everyone involved with the latest Spider-Man film is out on the promotional circuit, the topic of who the villain for a possible third film could be. While nothing has been decided as of yet, Kraven’s name keeps coming up. Speaking with Uproxx, director Jon Watts said, “Oh, I would love Kraven.” He went on to add, “It’s just the trick of how do you do Kraven in a movie? But, no, I don’t know who’s next. I always like to think about it in terms of what’s going to be the most difficult thing for Peter. So that’s going to be the next trick.”

“I’ve always had a soft spot for Kraven the Hunter,” co-screenwriter Erik Sommers told ComicBook.

Spider-Man has a rich gallery of villains, but too often it seems easy to go to the likes of Green Goblin. This new Marvel Cinematic Universe version of the films, however, does seem to enjoy hitting up villains we haven’t seen on the big screen before. From the Vulture (Michael Keaton) to Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal), these are not your standard big-screen villains. The idea of Kraven on-screen, hunting Spider-Man through the streets of New York? We’re all for it.

We’re probably quite a ways away from learning anything about the third film, but we can hold out hope for now.
