Spider-Man: Far From Home wins the weekend box office

To absolutely no one’s surprise, Spider-Man: Far From Home won its opening weekend at the box office. The film took in $93.6M for Friday through Sunday, and that brings its six-day opening total to $185M.

Sony was predicting $125M for the opening six days, while analysts were projecting $175M.

This brings the global total for Spider-Man: Far From Home to $580.05M off of a $160M budget.

It’s likely Spidey will win next weekend as well with the only new national releases being Crawl and Stuber. It will lose the top spot in week three, as on July 19 Disney releases The Lion King. And, let’s face it, that will win that weekend.
