We haven’t heard much about the upcoming Morbius film since Jared Leto arrived in the U.K. That doesn’t mean, however, that things aren’t moving forward.
Deadline is reporting that Jared Harris (Fringe, The Crown) has joined the cast in an unknown role. This is the first significant casting we’ve heard about since Leto, so it will be interesting to see who exactly he will be playing in the film.
Morbius will mark the second film in Sony Picture’s Spider-Man sub-universe of films. The first, of course, was Venom which went on to great success bringing in $855.01M globally off of a $100M budget.
Morbius is slated to hit theaters on July 31, 2020.
