The 2019 Golden Globe Awards were held Sunday night and the winners have made their way home with their trophies. Celebrating both the best of film and television, the Golden Globes is always a mixed bag of winners, but on the film side, it is considered a preview of what way the Academy Awards may lean.
Of course, the most notable win for Spider-Man fans was the fact that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse took home the trophy for Best Animated Feature Film. With award season just kicking off, it seems like this will be a common refrain this year. The film is winning universal acclaim, so it feels like there will be a lot of trophies going its way in the near future.
