In addition to featuring great humor, a top-notch voice cast, and a charming story, the thing that elevates Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is its gorgeous animation. It looks like the pages of a comic book were translated directly to the big screen.
That’s because the team behind the film used a blend of CGI animation and 2D drawings, giving it an extra unique look that’s unlike anything else out there. While Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse looks incredible in motion, it looks just as good in single frames. Case in point, the gallery below.
Sony Animation this week released high-resolution stills from the movie and they are a treat to look at. You can truly appreciate what an achievement the film is. I would really love to turn some of these into posters. You can download them for yourself from the gallery below.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse hits theaters on December 14.
