Deadline is reporting that Vacation screenwriters John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein are in talks to write Marvel and Sony’s upcoming Spider-Man reboot.
Deadline says that John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein were also in the running to direct the new Spider-Man movie, but lost out to Jon Watts. Inking a deal to write the Spider-Man script will be a great way for the duo to get another crack at the project.
John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein wrote and directed the upcoming comedy Vacation, so their comedic style lines up with what we’ve heard Marvel wants in their Spider-Man reboot.
