The Amazing Spider-Man composer James Horner has died in a plane crash. He was 61 years old. His death was confirmed by his assistant, Sylvia Patrycja. “We have lost an amazing person with a huge heart and unbelievable talent,” Patrycja wrote on Facebook. “He died doing what he loved. Thank you for all your support and love and see you down the road.”
The Hollywood Reporter says that Horner was flying his small plane this morning when it crashed into a remote area about 60 miles north of Santa Barbara.
Horner was known for much more than his score for The Amazing Spider-Man. He also composed the scores for Titanic, Braveheart, Field of Dreams, among many more.
