Marc Webb teases plans for 'The Amazing Spider-Man 3' and 'Sinister Six'

In another interview during his press tour for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, director Marc Webb has dropped some intriguing hints about the future of the franchise.

When asked exactly how much he collaborated with Sinister Six writer and director Drew Goddard in regards to some of the villainous teases in the final act of the sequel, he said: “I had to talk to Drew Goddard and make sure these things were going to be played out in the future universe. There are some very specific plans, for example, for [Doc] Ock and for Vulture. Or the man in the hat at the end of the first movie. All those things emerge with varying degrees of emphasis.”

So, that’s confirmation that we will indeed see those two again in the near future, but whether it’ll be in The Amazing Spider-Man 3 or if we’ll have to wait for the still undated Sinister Six spin-off remains to be seen.

Now, before you read any further, be warned that below is a major spoiler from The Amazing Spider-Man 2!

“Will Peter Parker love again?” Webb asked when he was quizzed on the death of Gwen Stacy (played by Emma Stone) at the end of the sequel and what this means for Spider-Man moving forwards. “When [relationships] end, it’s very difficult to imagine emerging from that. I think that’s, emotionally, where he’s going to start off in the next movie.”

Which of the above points are you most looking forward to seeing further explored in The Amazing Spider-Man 3?
