It was revealed that Dane DeHaan would be playing the Green Goblin in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 a few trailers ago, and when MTV caught up with the actor at the recent New York premiere, he talked more about redesigning the look of the iconic villain in this movie and why there were certain things they simply couldn’t or wouldn’t adapt from the comic book costume.
He also teased both his and the Goblin’s role in Drew Goddard’s Sinister Six spin-off, seemingly hinting that [SPOILER ALERT] Harry Osborn will indeed be leading the team of villains in that movie. Of course, that’s assuming the villain makes it out of the Marc Webb helmed sequel alive. For that, we’re just going to have to wait and see to find out! What do you guys think?
In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
Starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Chris Cooper and Paul Giamatti, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to be released in the UK on 16th April and in the US on May 2nd.
