A 30-second TV commercial during Super Bowl XLVIII will cost close to $4 million, but that’s not stopping Sony from promoting The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on the biggest stage in sports.

Deadline is reporting that Sony will use the Super Bowl to advertise its rebooted superhero franchise installment The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which will open in May in IMAX 3D and conventional theaters.

If football isn’t your thing, I’ll have the TV spot posted right here on Spider-Man News as soon as possible. Super Bowl XLVIII takes place on February 2, 2014 at MetLife Stadium at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
