Emma Stone praises the "wonderful" script for 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'

In an interview with The Mirror (via Virgin Media), Emma Stone has talked briefly about reprising her role as Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. “It’s wild to be back in character as Gwen Stacy,” she said. “I love her and the script is just wonderful!” The screenplay for this instalment in Marc Webb’s franchise was penned by Star Trek‘s Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, following a first draft from James Vanderbilt (The Amazing Spider-Man).

Talk then turned to her chemistry with co-star Andrew Garfield, a.k.a. Peter Parker. The two have been dating in real life for well over a year now, and while both are extremely private when it comes to their off-screen relationship, Stone had this to say about how it impacts their chemistry in the superhero franchise. “There’s no rhyme or reason to it. I think you just have to click. I don’t think you should try to explain the chemistry between two people – it’s either there or it isn’t.”

What do you think the sequel holds in store for Gwen Stacy? We know that she will be still be working at Oscorp, but with Chris Cooper cast as Norman Osborn, her days as Spider-Man’s girlfriend may just be numbered…
