Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to play the villain Mysterio in Spider-Man: Homecoming 2, according to Variety. They also note that Michael Keaton, who played the villain Vulture in the first movie, will be reprising his role in the sequel.
All the major players from Spider-Man: Homecoming will be back for the sequel, including director Jon Watts and writers Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley. The movie starts shooting this summer and hits theaters on July 5, 2019.
