5 best moments from ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’

SpideyPolice

Despite a solid debut at the North American box office this past weekend, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has divided critics and fans alike (as is evident from its score on Rotten Tomatoes). However, while some choose to focus on the negative aspects alone, it’s worth pointing out that it also has more than a few memorable moments which we’ve counted down for you right here!

Agree? Disagree? As always, we’d love to hear your thoughts, so be sure to let us know in the comments section below.

5. The Battle In Times Square

Spider-Man Feature 1

When it comes to action, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 delivers throughout. However, it’s the battle between Spidey and Electro which occurs roughly halfway through the movie which is arguably the highlight. A few cheesy one liners aside (“It’s my birthday…time to light the candles!”), this was a tense and exciting fight between the two as the newly energized Max Dillon tested his powers out and let loose on the titular hero. This franchise hasn’t fully taken advantage of Peter Parker’s Spider-Sense as of yet, but one particularly memorable visual was the slow motion shot of Spider-Man using his one remaining web-shooter to save the onlooking civilians at the popular New York tourist destination. It’s an epic battle and not even the final act could ultimately top it!
